as a priority.

medical personnel is always on call specifically to
pay special attention to the health conditions of our

Services and International Hospital in Kampala
[Uganda] where in case of any emergency can be
handled. However we encourage our guests to have
travel and health insurance cover with them.
We have safety precautions shared amongst our
tour/driver guides. Often we cross check our partner
service providers to ensure safe services are
delivered during our trips. In tour activities that
require extra support like gorilla, chimp trekking,
walking sticks and porters are provided. Our 4x4
safari vehicles are fitted with First aid kits.
SECURITY SITUATION:
This is up to date travel security advice for
travelers to Uganda and Rwanda (East Africa) Uganda
and Rwanda are generally safe destinations for
tourists, and visitors for Volunteering business and
pleasure. However in situations that signal potential
risk you need to take care just the way you would be
visiting say a major city street in your country.
National Parks are well protected where necessary by
armed guards and Rangers.

The number of Tourists visiting Uganda has increased
tremendously from 538,586 in 2006 to 842,000 by end of
2008 and travel to all areas usually visited by
tourists is normal.
The political situation in the country remains normal.
The security on Uganda's Western border with the DRC
and Rwanda remains steady and travel to western uganda
parks of; Bwindi & mgahinga Gorilla parks, the
Rwenzoris, Queen Elizabeth, Kibale National Parks and
Semliki Reserve continues normally. In the North,
Murchison Falls has remained stable with 36753
tourists visiting the park in 2008.
In
Northen uganda the LRA rebel activity has been greatly
chased and eliminated. Travel to key tourist sites in
Western Uganda continues normally and even before the
situation did not affect travel to and stay in the
sites.
Travel to Rwanda is currently normal visitors to Parck
National de Volcans (PNV), Nyungwe and akagera
national Parks has been increasing over past years.
Gorilla trekking remains normal and the security
situation is stable as well.
However, like any other city(s) be quite awake when
walking around carrying anything of value. As in all
countries petty theft, including pickpockets is around
in some places. Do not walk around at night unescorted
before seeking advice. If possible, never leave your
vehicle unattended and never change money on the
streets. This is less of a problem in the rural areas.
Carry minimum amounts of cash and keep it hidden or in
a money belt, if possible. Secure your belongings such
as passport or airline tickets and other valuables and
documents; use safe deposit boxes where available. For
the most part, however, Ugandans and Rwandans are very
friendly and helpful. If in doubt seek local advice.
